Like Joseph Campbell with a taste for (ever-so-slightly annoying in the aggregate) nicknames, it's TV Tropes & Idioms. It really is kind of unbelievable-- not that these plot devices and tropes keep getting churned out (it's commerce, after all, not art) but that someone has thought to put them all in one space. The site itself, those spiralingly uncanny threads that it leads you on (especially if you just navigate with the "next entry" buttons at the bottom of each page), is something of a fractal. Does it, too, contain tropes? Find out yourself. It's good for losing a couple of hours, at least.
