Women Who Write: Jillian Clark

Apologies for last week's hiatus. We're coming off last-minute thesis panics and nightly play rehearsals, so our normal posting schedule should soon resume. Thanks to Tim for keeping things alive during our absence!

Today I wanted to look at Abjective, and I wanted to look at something like poetry. I found Jillian Clark's "blind contour poem, 12:01 a.m." and thought I'd share:

I.

you said you'd rather be working with your hands

like Hemingway and I don't remember anything

about your hands except that they were writer's hands

and the way they looked both bored + frantic when

you were applauding something
